Ivywood Classical Academy is a Hillsdale College Member School, a distinction that offers our school access to curriculum and training from the Hillsdale College K-12 Education Office. Each year complimentary trainings are offered at Hillsdale College for the board, leadership, and teachers at NMCA, and representatives from Hillsdale visit the school regularly to advise and observe. Ivywood Classical Academy follows the tried and true Hillsdale College K-12 Curriculum to offer an American Classical Education.

the College’s mission, and Hillsdale has been helping K-12 schools for over three decades.
Hillsdale teaches K-12 schools to provide an education that is both classical and American in its orientation; one that is rooted in the liberal arts and sciences, offers a firm grounding in civic virtue, and cultivates moral character.
Hillsdale College provides a variety of supports to Member Schools like Ivywood Classical Academy, including training for school leadership, on-site professional development for new teachers, classroom observations and coaching for teachers, an online library of resources, and free training
opportunities for boards, leaders, and teachers. Hillsdale’s support to Ivywood Classical Academy is offered at no cost; it is made possible by the generous support of friends of Hillsdale College.
Ivywood Classical Academy is a tuition-free public school academy that will educate students using the virtues-based, content-rich, classical education tradition.
Parents may start dropping students off at 7:50 am. Doors open at 8:00 am, and there are three drop off options:
Option 1: Drop off at 7:50, a staff member will supervise students outside of the building until the door open.
Option 2: Park and walk to the entrance from 8:00 - 8:10. Parents may escort their children to the front or side doors.
Option 3: Utilize the car loop from 7:50 - 8:09
Ivywood utilizes a staggered dismissal. All parents must park and enter through the main entrance. All designated pick-up people must present their ICA identification barcode which will be scanned by an ICA employee prior to gaining entrance to the building. Students are dismissed directly from classrooms.
