Applications received after the deadline date for each grade that has reached full enrollment will be added to the official waiting list in the order in which they are received.
Section 504 of the Revised School Code states that public school academies shall neither charge tuition nor discriminate in pupil admissions policies or practices on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, status as a handicapped person, or any other basis that would be illegal if used by a Michigan public school district.
For the 2024-2025 school year, to enroll in kindergarten, a child must be at least 5 years of age by September 1, 2024. Children turning 5 years of age on or before December 1, 2024 may be granted admission into the program with the use of a kindergarten waiver. Please contact our office for more information on kindergarten waivers.
The Academy Board has established a policy providing enrollment priority to siblings of currently enrolled pupils, children of staff members, and children of board members.
Ivywood Classical Academy is a tuition-free public school academy that will educate students using the virtues-based, content-rich, classical education tradition.
Parents may start dropping students off at 7:50 am. Doors open at 8:00 am, and there are three drop off options:
Option 1: Drop off at 7:50, a staff member will supervise students outside of the building until the door open.
Option 2: Park and walk to the entrance from 8:00 - 8:10. Parents may escort their children to the front or side doors.
Option 3: Utilize the car loop from 7:50 - 8:09
Ivywood utilizes a staggered dismissal. All parents must park and enter through the main entrance. All designated pick-up people must present their ICA identification barcode which will be scanned by an ICA employee prior to gaining entrance to the building. Students are dismissed directly from classrooms.
