At Ivywood, learning and growth extend beyond the classroom. Our after-school programs provide students with exciting opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills, and build lasting friendships.
Our programs are designed to inspire wonder, teamwork, and personal growth. Whether students are looking to express themselves, challenge their minds, or develop new skills, there’s something for everyone at Ivywood!
*Each club lasts 8 weeks and begins at the start of each school session.
When: Tuesdays and Wednesdays After School
Grades: K – 4th
This 8-week session will offer students a chance to focus on building and sharpening the math skills specifically needed to successfully navigate the Singapore/Dimensions Math curriculum. Students practice math facts, solve number bonds and bar modules, and use math manipulatives when adding and subtracting.
When: Thursdays After School
Grades: 6th and Up
Sessions will include introduction to engineering drafting and CAD. Club entry includes complete drafting kit.
When: Wednesdays After School
Grades: 5th and Up
Art exploration is a time for students to take a deeper dive into art creation. Students will work with acrylic painting, watercolor, soft and oil pastels, 3-D design, and much more! All materials will be provided. No experience necessary.
When: Thursdays After School
Grades: 3rd and Up
Students will work primarily with reading and writing in a foreign language. No prior knowledge needed. Students will be provided with workbooks and activities.
When: Fridays After School
Grades: 4th and Up
A school newspaper is a perfect way to get involved and learn workplace skills such as time management, meeting deadlines, and communicating with others. No previous experience needed. Looking for editors, reporters, photographers, comics, and more!
When: Wednesdays After School
Grades: 1st and 2nd
Introduction to the art of classical ballet, jazz, and improvisation. Plus creative movement with games, music, stories, and more!
When: Mondays and Wednesdays After School
Grades: 2nd and Up
Second and third graders will participate in an introductory course on Mondays, while all other grades will participate on Wednesdays. No prior knowledge needed.
When: Meeting Schedule TBD
Grades: 5th and Up
Meetings are broken up into two sessions – learning and shooting. No pistol ownership required. Parent or guardian required to attend each meeting.
When: Tuesdays After School
Grades: 3rd and Up
Students will participate in learning stage direction, puppeteering, prop-engineering, and make-up techniques.
When: Fridays After School
Grades: K and Up
Join us on Mt. Brighton as we adventure the slopes! Lift tickets and rental equipment are not included. Lessons may also be purchased.

Grades: 8th and Up
Have a creative eye? Look no further, join the yearbook club! No previous experience needed. Looking for editors, photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, and more!

Grades: 2nd – 4th
Learn about American Sign Language through workshops and practice. Learn letters, phrases, sentences, and more!
When: Tuesdays After School
Grades: 4th – 8th
Students will learn basic hand sewing and embroidery skills! All supplies included. No prior experience needed.

Ivywood Classical Academy is a tuition-free public school academy that will educate students using the virtues-based, content-rich, classical education tradition.
Parents may start dropping students off at 7:50 am. Doors open at 8:00 am, and there are three drop off options:
Option 1: Drop off at 7:50, a staff member will supervise students outside of the building until the door open.
Option 2: Park and walk to the entrance from 8:00 - 8:10. Parents may escort their children to the front or side doors.
Option 3: Utilize the car loop from 7:50 - 8:09
Ivywood utilizes a staggered dismissal. All parents must park and enter through the main entrance. All designated pick-up people must present their ICA identification barcode which will be scanned by an ICA employee prior to gaining entrance to the building. Students are dismissed directly from classrooms.
